Zimbabwe Testimonies

I just felt to write down some of the testimonies of what I saw last week in Zimbabwe. I am doing this from my digital camera, to act as a reminder of what happened. I wasn't on my camera as much, so some of the people I prayed for went unremembered.

The first one I heard of by testimony: Victor prayed for a Zimbabwean official at the border post who had pain and who couldn't conceive. The pains left. We arrived in Buluwayo late at night. The next morning we went through the houses in Magwegwe, praying for the sick and giving them invitations to our crusade at their market square that afternoon. We split in groups.

My first group consisted of Hesti, Bethany and myself (with an interpreter). Hesti prayed for a lady with a purple blouse. She had pain in her chest and back. She was instantly healed. She also prayed for her little girl. Then she prayed for a lady with a white blouse. Her chest pains left immediately, also for two little boys with her.

Bethany then prayed for a lady in pink who had pains. The pains left. Hesti prayed for a lady with pains in the side. The pains left. Bethany prayed for a lady in blue. Her blood pressure problems and chest pains left immediately. She could feel the difference and said she was fine. Bethany prayed for a lady in purple, and invited her to the crusade. Her knee pains left. She also prayed for a lady in her house with a grey T-shirt. Her pains left. Hesti then prayed for a lady with a pink tank top. She was also free of pain. I prayed for a man who was working on something in the storm drain at the side of the street. He had pains through his whole body, and his pains left immediately. He was so happy. He also came to the crusade.

I then prayed for a lady with an orange blouse. She was touched and better. We entered another house, and Bethany prayed for a lady with a flower dress. She was so open, and she opened her arms to receive the prayer. She lifted her arm afterwards, which she couldn't do before. Bethany then prayed for a man in a blue shirt. He had shoulder pains. The pains left. Then she prayed for a man in a grey shirt. He had pain in his arms and couldn't lift it up. He could afterwards. His pains left and he danced for joy.

We then testified to the whole group. Every group could share four testimonies. Jako kept score of the testimonies over the whole trip: 32 blind, 97 people with pain, 16 deaf, 3 lame WERE HEALED. THis was only the record of what was testified. There were many many more!

We then went to a house church, and Marnes preached a word on the Love of God out of 1 John 4 and Is 54. We need to receive His love for us, in order to have love. We need to realise how God feels about us. Is 54 says that the mountains may depart and removed, but His love for us will never be removed. So his love for us is more sure than the position of the highest mountain. It will never change.

Marnes then prayed for the sick. He prayed for a lady in a light green blouse. She was healed of pain. He prayed for a man in some random blue religious robe (I think he said he was a bishop or something). He was healed of abdominal pain. Then he prayed for a man in a blue striped shirt. He had pain in his lower abdomen. He was also healed. Then he prayed for a blind lady in a white robe of sorts. She could se how many fingers Marnes held up even standing well outside the building.

As we returned, the rain started to fall. Now Buluwayo hadn't had rain since early January, and December was also dry. It was dry and hot. When we came, the clouds started to form. We prayed for rain and it fell. People travelling on the back of the bakkie were drenched in rain (Marnes included, hehe).
Then Bethany ate a Mopani Worm. Nice!
We went to the market square at 17:00 and invited the people. We also met William Undi there. He heard of Marnes on the Spirit Word Channel, and visited us in Potchefstroom one Sunday. He returned with a lot of CD's. He actually launched his ministry called Christ Life Church when we were there, inspired by Marnes's message on the Christ Life. What a testimony. Jako said he was like a black Marnes. Haha. What a great guy.
They started to sing. Marnes shared a word on forgiveness.
Then he prayed for the sick. He prayed for a lady with a white OMO T-shirt (Fantastic! I also want one!). Her pains were gone. Then he prayed for a lady with a brown blouse. Her back pain left immediately. Then he prayed for a man with a blue jacket. Man was healed of pain in the arms. Marnes then prayed for a man with a striped golfs shirt. He was healed of shoulder pain. Then we all prayed for all the sick that were there. There were hundreds. We had to be torn away from the sqaure in the dark of night. I prayed for probably over a hundred children, just laying hands of their heads, and experiencing God's love for them. Never experienced anything like it.
The next morning we went to another house church. We sang, and Marnes preached on the life we have in Christ. He said that the Christian life wasn't a life of effort, but a life of surrender. He demonstrated effort by clenching his fists and pulling his face in effort. He demonstrated surrender by just relaxing. He said that all we needed was to believe in what Jesus did on the cross. Believe in the one whom God has sent. That's all.
Then we went to William's church. It was the actual launch of his ministry. We were all blessed by Him. Some ladies led the worship, and it blessed us. Marnes preached on a vision he saw about the tree of life. In the vision he saw people working at the Tree of knowledge of good and evil. They couldn't see the tree of life, because they were distracted by their efforts around the tree of knowledge. He then ate of the tree of life, and he becaem a tree of life with fruit of life. We can only hear and believe the Gospel, that is the only thing that will change us. He then spoke about Jesus multiplying the bread in john 6. He said that if you look at what is in your hands, it seems never to be enough. We have received the bread of life from Jesus. It is simple, but it is enough to bless the whole world, because Jesus multiplies it. The bread of life is the Gospel. It will be enough to feed the multitudes. You do not need complicated dogma to add to the Gospel.
Then we had communion and the 15 from SA stood in front to heal the sick. We prayed for a lot of people, and their pains left. Before the 17:00 crusade Jacques and I went to a house. A lady was bed ridden and sick. We prayed for her and all her pains left.  Then we saw the most spectacular sunset.

At the crusade, Marnes started calling the people to come and hear the Gospel. He used the example of Paul in acts, where he was collecting fire wood, and a snare bit his hand. He shook it off and walked on. He said in the same way, your sins are forgiven already, but if  you do something wrong, just shake it off like that snake, and it will not harm you.

We also prayed for the sick. Even more than the previous night. People were really blessed. The blind saw, the deaf heard. There were over a thousand people, easily.

The next morning we just went to Buluwayo CBD, and walked around town looking at the place and seeing the sights. After lunch we set off for Plumtree. We reached it in about an hour, but then we learnt that we were going to a rural village deep in the bush. We then spent 4 hours traveling a shockingly bad dirt road for 76km. We arrived in the dark.

The next morning we went out to the houses in the village and started to minister. I went with Leno and Nettie. The first house, I prayed for a lady who couldn't see, and who had pain in her arm, legs and back, and chest. She was healed. Then I prayed for another lady with bad eye sight and also pain in the arm and chest. She was healed an almost fell over. Then Leno prayed for two ladies who had pain. They were healed. Then Nettie prayed for a lady who had back pain and she was healed. Then I prayed for a man who could see almost nothing. He could see perfectly, and even his eyes appeared clear afterwards. He went to get a needle and thread, and he threaded a needle to demonstrate how well he saw. He also had a bump on his head, and I prayed for him. Then I prayed for his two children.

Then we saw a chicken resembling either a dinosaur of a vulture, not sure which.

Leno prayed for an old man who couldn't see. He saw a little bit better, and his pains were gone. He appreciated the visit so much. He kissed our hands and called us his great great great grand children. Then Nettie prayed for a woman with knee pain. She was healed. Leno prayed for another lady, but I can't remember what was wrong. She smiled on the photo's though.

Leno also prayed for a lady with back pain and ankle pain dressed in blue. She was healed. Then she prayed with a ladywho had shoulder pain. She was healed. Then I prayed for a man with bad eye sight and knee pain. He stood withouth pain and could see after prayer. I prayed for his daughter. She had pain in her ribs and side. She was healed.

That night we had a crusade under a tree in (i think) Kema, which I suppose is the name of the village. They started to worship. Gerome led the worship and we were all in tears. We just felt the love of God. Marnes preached about God's unconditional love, and that God loved us before we were born. We are completely forgiven.

I can't really remember all the miracles, but there was a man whom Marnes prayed for, whose arm was healed. When he lifted up his arm, he cried out: "It's true!" Then there was this lady. She couldn't walk without a stick. Marnes prayed for her, and walked with her a while. Then he said: "walk". She walked, but bent over. He said: "one more time" and she turned around and walked. The he said it again: "one more time" and she turned around stood upright and walked normally before us all. THAT was amazing. So many others were healed. We again prayed for the crowd and many were healed.

The next morning, Jacques and I went out and prayed for this lady. She was older than anything else. She was really old. She crawled out of her hut with a stick. Couldn't see, couldn't hear, couldn't walk. I prayed for her. It took a while. Afterward she could hear me speak softly, she could see us all, not perfect, but she could see, and she walked upright on her own withouth pain and without a stick. THat was amazing.

Then we saw a chameleon, and picked it up and almost completely freaked out our interpretor. HAHAHA.

Then we got to the car and went to houses on the far side of the village. We prayed for a couple of houses, and they were mostly healed, apart from one lady.

When we returned, we saw some ladies at the side of the road. We stopped. I said to Jacques: you take the pink ones, and I'll take the blue ones. They were healed immediately without any effort. THey wanted us to pray for her son, but we had no time. We had to get back to pack and go back.

God was so good. Many many more happened, but I can't remember them all, and also many other miracles happened with the other groups. God moved. His love healed people. We will never be the same. Buluwayo and Kame have received something that will multiply and change Zimbabwe.
