Christ Life Ministries was founded in February 2008 when God spoke to Gerrit Grobler to come back to his home town to start a ministry. Since then Gerrit has ministered the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Pretoria, South Africa and the surrounding areas. Gerrit has been in full time ministry since 2005 when he joined Marnes Nel at Immanuel Ministries in Potchefstroom South Africa to help Marnes in the ministry, leaving his carreer as an attorney in Pretoria.
The Gospel of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ is not a merit based message of works in order to deserve God's blessings, but it is a powerful liberating experience with the Person Jesus Christ. The Gospel is about Who Jesus Christ is, what He did for us on the cross, and who we now are in Him, because of the cross of Christ. This means that forgiveness is preached to set people free of condemnation. This is not a conditional forgiveness, but a proclamation based on the blood Jesus shed on the cross. We are forgiven because He died for our sins. Only those who believe benefit from this forgiveness. When we believe we receive the forgiveness that is extented to us as a gift through the Gospel.
The Gospel also includes healing. By His wounds we are healed. Therefore Christ Life Ministries has several outreaches weekly which is focused on healing. We visit hospitals and clinics and lay hands on the sick. Since 2008 hundreds upon hundreds of people were supernaturally healed of all manners of sickness and pain, and even blind eyes and deaf ears were healed. Jesus took all our sickness and griefs on Himself, so that we can be healed and restored.
We also believe that Jesus became poor on the cross, so that by His poverty, we might become enriched and abundantly supplied (2 Cor 8:9 AMP). Whatever our problem or discomfort is, the price Jesus paid on the cross is the answer. The ministry aims to impart the grace of God to the people, and to train people for the practical ministry of the power of God, so that people can touch their own communities.
Gerrit also has a heart for electronic media. In 2008 he started to broadcast the Gospel on the Spirit Word Channel, which is a worldwide Christian satellite and internet television channel. Television and modern internet media is a very effective tool to minister the Gospel to the world. Christ Life Ministries is bringing this Good News of Jesus Christ to the whole world through video streaming, broadcasting on satellite and internet, blogging, and other social media websites.
The ministry also has a heart for outreaches in other areas and other countries. Gerrit has ministered in different parts of South Africa, and also in Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia and Malawi and will go anywhere the Spirit of God leads Him to minister and he is open to invitations to come and bring this life giving message of Christ.
